2026 EVENT INFORMATION

PERFORMANCE DATE

SUNDAY 26th JULY, 2026

PERFORMANCE TIME

Shows at 1pm & 5pm. Each show should run for approx 2 hours

Rivergum Performing Arts Centre, 58 Fordholm Rd, Hampton Park, VIC.

 

TICKET INFORMATION

Tickets prices (including GST):

Adults (age 15+): $37

Child (age 3-14): $32

Performer: $27

Children under the age of 2 years may sit on a parents lap, free of charge.

 

Performers will need to purchase a performers ticket if they would like to sit in the audience and watch and support the other schools until it is their time to dance.

One representative from each studio can sit in the performers area with their troupe. We ask that they purchase an adult ticket.

Performers are allocated to the right hand side of the auditorium. Performers are free to sit anywhere within that area. It is non-allocated seating.

PERFORMERS ARRIVAL TIME

Performers- please arrive by 12pm if you are in the 1pm show and 4pm if you are in the 5pm show.  Your teacher may advise of a more specific arrival time.

 

AUDIENCE ARRIVAL TIME

Doors will open at 12.40pm & 4.40pm.  

 

STUDIO REPRESENTATIVE/TEACHER

Each studio must have a representative or teacher present on the day.  This person must accompany the students at all times, to ensure that all performers are looked after and safe.  Please email us with the name and contact number of your studio representative for the day, info@danceaidmelbourne.com.

Please ensure that your representatives have a valid working with children check.

 

MUSIC

Music/Routines are to be no longer than 5 minutes long.  Music must be emailed- info@danceaidmelbourne.com no later than Monday 7th July. 

 

DRESSING ROOMS

When you arrive, please find a spot anywhere together with your troupe in one of the three dressing room areas. Unfortunately, we cannot have male parents/guardians in the dressing room. Please drop and go. Please limit the amount of people in the dressing rooms and only have essential people. It is up to the studio owner to ensure that parents/ teachers (whoever is in the dressing room with your troupe) has a valid working with children check.

We have a designated male dressing room with signage.

 

PLEASE ASSIST US IN PROMOTING THIS EVENT

We ask that all performers and studios assist us in promoting this event.   This can be done by:

  • Uploading rehearsal footage to Instagram mentioning the event #danceaid2026
  • Liking and sharing our instagram page, @danceaidmelb
  • Uploading photos on the performance day! #danceaid2026

 

FAQ'S

What do performers do before/after their performance?

Performers can wait in the dressing room/waiting area or can watch the performance from the auditorium if a performers ticket has been purchased 

Is there a rehearsal before the show?

No.

Is there a curtain close after each act?

No. Simply a blackout to keep the show moving

Can I plot my own lighting?

Our lighting tech is skilled in Dance Performances and will highlight your routine.
