About Dance Aid
Dance Aid Melbourne ("Dance Aid", "we", "us") is a not-for-profit dance show run by Sarah Victoria Oliver (ABN 59 963 259 585), a sole trader, through her studio Beat 87 Dance Academy. The money it raises goes to Make-A-Wish Australia. Dance Aid is an independent community fundraiser: it isn't run by Make-A-Wish Australia, and their name and logo belong to them.
Using this website
We keep the show's details here up to date: the date, venue, show times, prices and running order all come from one place, so they always match. If something changes, we'll update this site and post on Instagram. If you spot a mistake, please tell us at info@danceaidmelbourne.com.
The Dance Aid name, logo and the words on this site are ours. Photos belong to their photographers and sponsor logos to their owners. Please ask before you reuse any of them. You're welcome to share links to any page.
Tickets and tee shirts
Tickets and tee shirts are sold through TryBooking, and TryBooking's terms apply to your purchase. Children under 2 can sit on a parent's lap free of charge.
If you can't make it, please email us as soon as you can. If a show is cancelled or moved, we'll contact ticket holders through TryBooking to let you know what happens next.
Coming to the show
The show is photographed, and the photos may appear on this website and our social media (see our privacy policy for how photos are used). Please follow the venue's rules, any announcement about taking photos or filming, and the directions of the organisers and the venue's staff on the day.
Taking part
Applying to participate doesn't guarantee a place: we confirm places, show times and the running order with each studio. By taking part, a studio agrees that:
- a representative or teacher from the studio is present for the whole day and stays with its performers;
- everyone with the studio's performers in the dressing rooms holds a valid Working with Children Check;
- each routine is no longer than five minutes, and its music reaches us by the music deadline;
- its families know the show is photographed and the photos may be published.
Responsibility
We work hard to run a safe and happy show, but we can't be responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have prevented. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
